Our Enrichment Camp Program is top notch! We specialize in rehab for rescue dogs. So, if you have a shelter dog or a dog you took in out of the kindness of your heart, and you see some behaviors you're concerned about - - we can help!
Bring your dog for a (2-week minimum) stay and we will train your dog while he/she boards with us.
We can build confidence, socialize, obedience train, and teach advanced skill sets.
We also have a special Enrichment Camp program for puppies!

Please call us at 575-769-0231.
Please note: You only have to register once! If you have trained with us before, or have boarded with us, your dog is probably already in the database.
When you register you will need a copy of your dog's current vaccination records. There will be an option at the bottom of the registration page to upload copies of the vaccination records electronically as well as upload a picture of your dog. Your dog must be current on all vaccinations including the kennel cough vaccine (Bordetella).
After registering your dog, call us, click the temp test button on the home page, or email us to schedule a free temp test for your dog. This is simply so we can make an appropriate assessment for the type of training your dog needs and give you a quote for your dog's training program. Temp testing makes it easier for us to assign a trainer and develop a lesson plan for your dog.
To attend our regular 2-week Enrichment Camp, your dog must be
kennel trained and housebroken.
Please be aware, if your dog is an escape artist, tends to destroy and break out of kennels, is not housebroken or kennel trained, or has extreme separation anxiety, you must notify us
before
scheduling your dog's camp. Your dog will be placed in our behavior modification
program where your dog will stay in a special impact kennel and we will kennel train your dog for you for an additional fee of $250.
Please also note: We will administer prescription meds for your dog during the board-n-train as a courtesy as long as they are long-term meds such as insulin, or for anxiety and can be given in a pill pocket as a treat. The same is true for vitamins and health supplements if they are easily given with food. We reserve the right to charge additional fees for extensive medication instructions or feeding instructions, such as eye drops throughout the day, injections, or medications not easily given inside a pill pocket. We will not accept dogs who are currently taking prescription meds for an acute illness, disease or recovery of an acute illness. This is for the protection of all the dogs in the kennel. We also will not accept dogs in heat or who will soon be coming into heat without prior notice to the kennel manager.
Next, click the button below and fill out our appointment request form to request your dates for the enrichment camp on our calendar. Drop-offs for enrichment camps are on Monday mornings by appointment between 8:00 am and 9:00 am, and pick-up times are by appointment on Friday afternoons between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. You will have a specific scheduled time to come pick up your dog so we can demo what your dog has learned during the 2-week enrichment camp.
Dogs in our Enrichment Camp
start out on drop-off day,
with an introduction to trainers and the other dogs in the training program. For the first 24 hours, your dog is evaluated and allowed to greet the trainers and other dogs, and become familiar with routines and the facility. The next few days are filled with drive building, confidence building, socialization, drills, and obedience training. You are encouraged to attend several group trainings and work with a trainer to learn some basic obedience commands and handling skills right after the enrichment camp
program is completed.
On the final day of camp, at your pickup appointment, you will watch a "before and after" video of your dog doing a demo run on our confidence agility course. When you pick up your dog from the camp, please know he/she will be super excited to see you and may or may not have his/her head in the game at that moment because of the intense excitement at seeing you. This is normal. So, at this time, we will spend some time teaching you how to handle your dog properly, giving the proper commands, and teaching you how to give corrections if needed. This is training for YOU the handler! Your dog will already know what to do. And your dog WILL test you....to see if you are going to let him or her get away with anything. Come to this pick up appointment with the mindset that
you are in charge of your dog and your dog IS going to obey your commands. YOU are IN CHARGE NOW, not your dog.
We want you to spend lots of time bonding with your dog when you get home. If your dog had a bath before going home, a good bonding exercise is to brush your dog as soon as you get home. We leave this to you on purpose so that it gives you something to immediately do when you get home to start re-bonding with your dog. The important part of this entire program is that you are consistent with your dog. When you give your dog a command at home, your dog must obey that command no matter what. Consistency and follow-through is the key. The next most important part is you need to come out to some handler training courses immediately following a camp. This will seal the training and teach you and your dog how to work as a team. Any trainings you sign up for after the board and train program will be at the normal obedience price and not the behavior modification price.
Sending your dog to Enrichment Camp while you travel out of town....
You may send your dog to us for Enrichment Camp while you travel. We can send videos to you by text message when your dog completes a drill, or accomplishes a task. At the end of the camp, you will pick up your dog and plan to spend some time with us the day of pickup learning the commands, learning how to handle your dog, and learning how to give corrections. Just a heads up.... If you choose not to spend that time with us learning those skill sets, the camp is not going to be completely successful. Four to six handler training sessions following the camp are highly recommended for this program.
That's perfectly ok, and your quote will include the recommended time needed to train your dog. Some dogs learn faster than others. We have many handlers that opt for a 3-week or 4-week Enrichment Camp for their dog with bi-weekly trainings with the handler each week. This is particularly popular with handlers who want their dog trained for therapy work. Just let us know and we will design an Enrichment Camp program that is right for you and your dog!
